The Dederang Hotel is located at 4326 Kiewa Valley Highway, Dederang, Victoria, 3691, in the heart of the Kiewa Valley. It sits at the foothills of the Victorian Alps, surrounded by rolling farmland and scenic countryside. (37 minutes to Wodonga, 48 minutes to Bright, 30 minutes to Mt Beauty, 20 minutes to Yackandandah)

Yes. The Dederang Hotel provides on‑site accommodation, making it a convenient stopover for travellers exploring the High Country, Falls Creek, Mt Beauty, or the Kiewa Valley. We have cabins, pub rooms and a residency onsite which can be booked via our Stay page. We also have space up the back, opposite the cabins, that’s available for fully self‑contained caravans and RVs. At this stage we’re not able to accommodate vehicles without their own facilities, as there’s currently no public toilet, power, or water access on-site. It’s something we’re working towards, but we’re not quite there yet.  

Not yet — our rooms aren’t pet‑friendly, but we’re working on future options.

Our menus include classic Australian pub favourites such as parmis, steak sandwiches, burgers and seasonal specials. There are also options like chicken curry, farmers’ plates and pizzas on selected nights.

The hotel opens from 11:30am Tuesday to Sunday, with Mondays closed. Sunday closing time is around 9:00pm, with extended hours on other days (hours may vary seasonally.)

Yes. The venue is kid‑friendly offering an outdoor play area and highchairs for the little ones and a change table in the accessible toilet. 

Yes. Our Beer Garden is dog‑friendly, with outdoor spaces and a relaxed, welcoming environment for families and travellers with pets. We ask that dogs remain on a leash while on site and away from the children’s play area.

As a community‑minded country pub, we proudly support a number of long‑running commitments with local sporting clubs, associations and our loyal regulars. To maintain this balance, we limit ourselves to hosting only a small number of relaxed country style weddings each year. This approach ensures we can continue serving our community while offering wedding couples a personalised and well‑supported experience.

‍We have space for a small number of fully self-contained caravans and RVs up the back, opposite the cabins.
